What is the best way to advertise the feed for my blog?

I have a blog and I want to put an attractive link/button on the side bar for people who want to subscribe to my blog. I don't know the first thing about RSS feeds and blog subscriptions, so any advice would be helpful.

advertising the feed is a problem... advertising the site(your blog) is a lot easier.... post to groups, encourage links to the page, and always sign your e-mail with your blog address.

Does your blog already have an rss version? (many do)

if so there is already a magic little orange square near the address to the page... it's just a link, and you can make a large orange square and put it on your page, anywhere.

give u r weblog address to them

they will generate RSS FEED for you and copy the code for feed burner service

now paste the code in u r blog .

Any user viewing u r blog can now subscribe to u r feeds via feedburner .
