Is it okay to use pictures from the internet on my blog?

I was wondering if I can legally use pictures from the internet (from Google searches, etc.) on my blog? Do I have to get permission or include a copyright notice?

Officially, without permission, you should not be posting content on your page that you do not own.

There are some images that are "for pay" use only, where the photographer or publisher need to be compensated for your use of the photo. Other photos or content may be posted as long as you reference the originating website.

One solution is to use a click-through method, where you put a link named like "click here to see the photo of Britney in her drawers" and then you make the actual hyperlink the source website.

You have to ask for permission from the author or postmaster of the website...
