How to set up a blog on an established website?

I already have an established website that is currently on the world wide web, and im using html to do all the editing. I would like to include a blog on it, where i can type in information directly on the internet and it will be directly published. any suggestions?

Yeah, best way would be (you need php access for any blogging software, so contact your host if you don't have that)

1. go to http://wordpress.org/ and download the latest version of wordpress

2. FTP the files to your site

3. Follow the following guide to finish: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress

The best way to do this is to install a blog platform on a subdomain of your existing site. For example: yoursite.com/blog/

There are a few options for what platform to use. I personally endorse Wordpress for it's ease of use. It also helps that it's open source and free to use. Most quality blogging platforms are...like B2evolution, Joomla, and more.

Most of the time you can hire someone to install for you at a cheap price from a webmaster forum if you're not sure how to go about it. Check the source box for more information. Best of luck to you.

There are several options. If you control the web server, you can install WordPress and run it yourself. Or, you can link to an external blog source like Blogger, Typepad, or WordPress, which offer 'control panels' and hosting on their servers instead of your own.

You can host a blogger blog on your own web site
