What do you usually do to promote your blog or increase blog readership?

Hi there, need some friendly advice on blogging! I'd like to revive my cross-cultural blog (http://space.movo.tv/cyconweb) and gain readership for it. What do you guys usually do (tricks and such...) to promote your blog or increase blog readership? Tnx!

first, you can make videos about your topic and post them on youtube. At the end of when the credics roll, you can put the website

then, you need to go find an audience! thats means you need to read other people's blogs and leave comments with links to your own blog. if your comment is interesting, they'll reply.

and you need an interesting content if dont already have oone

also, design your site to make it look better if you havent donw so

and just like here on Y!, whereever + whenever you post sth online, put a link to your site.

Well first things first... You did the right thing by posting a link on here. Secondly, try joinging forums that are related to your blog. Add your signature to the bottom of your forum posts. That way you become part of a community and will gain trusted readers. Also try posting your articles on sites like digg and stumbleupon. I have a blog at http://www.freedomspress.com/columnist/the-how-to-guy where at the bottom of my articles theres a link which allows myself, and my readers to submit my articles to various social bookmarking sites. Another idea would be link exchanging... but be creative and include the links within a blog post instead of just having a page filled with links. Ask whomever your exchanging links with to do the same if they can. Then like others staed... The obvious things like submiting your blog to search engines.. and also blogging directories. A simple search will provide you with many websites for that.

Join a blog community; that's what i did. Oh and don't forget to add your blog to google.

~I tried those traffic enhancers before, but it usually ended up with spam...so I had to end all comments for my postings. Hopefully I can put them back up.~
