How can I make people aware about the existence of my blog?

After hearing a lot from my friends about how they enjoy writing their own, and reading others blog, I decided, a few months ago, to start my own blog on the Google Blogger service. I posted a few articles on my blog page also, and was very happy at the prospect of other people reading my articles and commenting on them. However, till date, no one has read anything on my blog page and no one has written any comment. What can I do so that more and more people on the net know about the existence of my blog on the blogger? Please tell me.

1. Create great content â€" everything starts with great content.

2. Update the content regularly â€" make your visitors come back again and again to your blog by providing daily updates (even multiple posts per day!)

4. Network with other bloggers â€" comment on their blogs, read and link to other blogs and request them to link back to you

5. Email other bloggers â€" pitch your post to other bloggers and hope that they will link or mention your blog

6. Use techniques to showcase your blog â€" examples include meme games such as the Daily Meme http://thedailymeme.com/ or carnivals (visit the Blog Carnival http://blogcarnival.com/bc/ for various blog topics)

if you have an account on myspace, friendster or any network site, you can put it there so that whenever they visit your profile, they will be able to see it.

you can also tell your friends (the ones with blog) to leave a space in their site for your url so that when other see their page, they can also recognize that you have one too.

My suggestion is to submit your blog RSS in various feed directory. Also, if you are in public forum, use your blod as signature. Its not only increase you link popularity but also get your blog aware in many vistors... as people read public forum & when find interesting poster, visit their website or blog... I personally tried it... It works.......

Use Google AdWords, MS AdCenter or the Yahoo Publisher Network.

You also want to make sure that the major search engines know about your site. Submit to all three.

Add attractive content to blog and use online methods to increase traffic to blog. See :

also try making a lens on squidoo and put live links on it to your blog address, or create an account with del.icio.us and bookmark your blog.
